1.3 Bookings Story - Lexio Insights

Average bookings for previous periods - calls out the average bookings per period for recent periods. Recent periods here is defined as the last 12 periods.

e.g. - "Bookings per quarter from Q2 2017 to Q3 2019 averaged $1.9M."

 

Total bookings over recent periods - calls out the total bookings per period for recent periods. Recent periods here is defined as the last 12 periods. It also calls out the total number of deals and the average deal size of those opportunities.

e.g. - "Bookings from Q2 2017 to Q3 2019 were $18.8M. They were made up of 394 deals, with the deal sizes averaging $47.8k."

 

Period to date bookings - calls out the total bookings for the period to date. It also calls out the total numbers of deals, the average deal size of those opportunities, and how many are expected to close in the current period. Note, this content only appears when timeframe type is “Last”, and its purpose is to explain the context around the opposite time frame type (i.e. how this period is going so far).

e.g. - "Quarter to date, bookings are $801k. They were made up of 14 deals, with an average deal size of $57.2k. There are 86 open opportunities expected to close in Q4."

 

Broader period to date bookings - calls out the total bookings for the period-to-date of the broader period (Period+1). So if the narrative is primarily about a Quarter, this content will write about the Year. It also calls out the total numbers of deals and the average deal size of those opportunities. Note, this content only appears when timeframe type is “This”.

e.g. - "Year to date, bookings are $12.5M. They were made up of 259 deals, with an average deal size of $48.3k. There are 86 open opportunities expected to close in 2019."

 

Last period bookings - calls out the total bookings for the last period. It also calls out the total numbers of deals and the average deal size of those opportunities. Note, this content only appears when timeframe type is “This”, and its purpose is to explain the context around the opposite time frame period (i.e. performance of last period).

e.g. - "Last quarter, bookings were $4.5M. They were made up of 104 deals, with an average deal size of $43.3k."
