Organizations and business leaders spend a lot of time and resources setting goals, but it is difficult to understand instantly how they are tracking over time and the drivers of that. This is key to course-correcting quickly and hitting their numbers. Dashboards and other analytics tools require the user to interpret this information and manually measure how they are performing over time, likely using multiple tools to do so, and this difficulty might cause them to not track as frequently or accurately as they should, or spend a lot of unnecessary time doing so.

When goals are added to Lexio, Lexio can proactively surface how their top metrics are doing relative to their targets. A user can log in at any point and see how they are doing, using one source of truth and not spending any manual effort to interpret performance.

Where will goals show up in my Lexio stories?

As a visualization in Pinned Metric cards for topics made up of one filter for each dimension in the goal table

As a sentence in Track stories where there is one filter for each dimension in the goal table. E.g. if the goals table has columns for product and region, the story must be filtered to a single product and a single region

If the Track story has a "this" timeframe, a line for the goal will be added to the line chart

Setting up goals in Lexio

Lexio requires a data representation of the goals to be loaded in or connected as a live data source. The data requirements can vary depending on how goals are set and managed for your use case. Example Goal Data

But if you also set goals at the Product level, the goal data would need to be broken out to include product level goals as well...
